SM Accessories Supreme Four Launch Event

Hey Coffeeholics! I bet everyone knows it already by now who are the new faces of SM Accessories, the Fashion Accessories Authority. Was your guess right? Well I for one am happy and privileged that I was able to witness the big reveal last November 15 at the Republiq, Resorts World.

It was my first time to be at Resorts World so I was really looking forward to this. Republiq was jam packed with lots of people all excited to see SM Accessories' big reveal!

SM has always been a household name since we were little so its not that surprising that SM Accessories has slowly has risen up to become known as "the fashion accessories authority". SM Accessories has also upped the field with the Supreme Four by their side. Of course we were all anxious by then to see the big reveal. But first we were treated by the fashion show to see the latest of what SM Accessories has to offer us this season.

loving the gold accessories here

Stylish, classic, and trend-setting accessories were paraded in front of us. From Urban Glam - where city fashion goes to high street to Blue Royale with its shining, shimmering blue elegance. These superb pieces were all eye-catching indeed! Then the Supreme Four were presented with much ado and presentation. So here are SM Accessories' Supreme Four!

CONGRATULATIONS TO:

Xian Lim

Georgina Wilson

Richard Gutierrez

Anne Curtis
(whose grand entrance appearing from a box did cause quite a stir!)
Of course an event is not as enjoyable if it weren't for the people you were with.. and these two lovely bloggers were my event buddies for the night - Jen (shopgirljen.blogspot.com) and Tatie (fasche.org).

It was indeed a fantastic night and what made it more unforgettable was that I won in a raffle sponsored by SM Accessories and SMART bro. All we had to do was tweet during the event about the event.. I think I was only able to send like 3-4 tweets but I was one of the 7 lucky winners who won a Smart Android Tablet! Yay! What's more amazing is that Tatie also won! Hay sayang ate Jen didn't win. Hopefully next time. Anyway, more about these blessings on my previous post here. That really made the event all the more memorable to me.

Thank you SM Accessories!

I can't wait to get my hands on the latest items SM Accessories just launched this season. I already dropped by the SM department store to window shop in advance on what I wanted to buy.. and I saw the perfect thing to add to my accessories collection. What about you? Have you seen the latest collection? Do check it out and lets compare notes! Have a wonderful Christmas Holiday!

OOTD - Sheer Black Magnolia

Top - Thrifted
Black Denim Jeans - Bench
Sandals - SM Parisian
Belt - Bazaar
Ring and Watch - SM Accessories
Black Leather Bracelet - Kisses & Co.
Beaded Bracelet - bought at Roxas City souvenir shop
Bag - Forever 21

Hey Coffeeholics! I love the title of this outfit post. The title is inspired by my outfit. Believe it or not but my top is actually a bit sheer. What I love about it is that it has these awesome flower designs -- its detail really caught my eye at a thrift shop so which is why I bought it. I think I made a good call there by getting that piece coz its now one of my fave tops coz I can wear it at work and during my "blogger moments" kung baga. Haha. Anyway, I wore this outfit some time ago when I went to Robinsons Magnolia! It was during the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf event where they gave us a sneak preview of the CBTL giving journal of which I'm a proud owner already! Yay! Do you have a CBTL planner or a Starbucks one already?

Anyway, if you haven't checked out Robinson's Magnolia, well I tell you -- YOU SHOULD! Grabe, its soooo cool! They have this huge awesome space plus the exterior is pretty awesome. I'd love to hangout there just to chill. You should all drop by there sometime. Anyway, it has been a while since I had my last outfit post. :P Sorry about that. But yep, I'm here and super active na.. especially on Instagram! Be my instagram buddy and follow me pls? I love looking photos and taking photos and sharing em! haha.. so look for me @kai_sensei. I'll follow back promise!

Have an awesome week coffeeholics! Malapit na pasko! Mwah!

Silver Linings and Gadgets

Hey Coffeeholics! This last quarter of the year has definitely been a season of ups and downs for me. Most of the downs has got to do with my health. My lungs aren't quite agreeing with the erratic changes of weather.. but I'm coping thank God. I have learned that though there are times when have to go through rough circumstances in our lives but with faith, love, and hope we can overcome these and find the silver lining so to speak. For me, it wasn't silver. Its GADGETS! Hehe.

Meet my brand new SAMSUNG GALAXY S II! After 2 years (yes >__< its that old!), I finally retired my Samsung Galaxy 5 phone and was able to buy me a brand new android phone - the Samsung Galaxy S 2. I've been wanting to replace my Samsung G5 since the beginning of the year. Its actually one of the goals for this 2012 that I will replace my old phone. It hasn't been working properly since the upgrade of the Android Market to Google Play. I haven't been able to download anything from Google play since then which has been quite frustrating for me. So I was really looking forward to trade in my old phone to a new one as an advance Christmas gift to myself.

I originally had a different model in mind (Samsung Galaxy W) but when I found out that there was only a lil bit of difference with the S2, I decided to go for it! I normally don't change phones right away so I figured if I was going to get a new phone, might as well spend for it a lil bit more so that it will last longer. No I didn't get the S3 coz it was way beyond my budget. (Everyone I know keeps asking me this.. :P)That's the main reason why. I'd like to thank Kuya Paul and Japz for helping me out in buying my phone at Greenhills. Yes I bought it at GH. Some people might be a bit apprehensive in buying there but with the right friends who knows the ins and outs.. its not that bad! Hehe. I believe I got the best deal there thanks to my friends. So yeah, I'm really grateful for that. So yes my dears, finally I have INSTAGRAM! :) So you can now all follow me @kai_sensei (same as my twitter account).

Follow me! Just add @kai_sensei!
Another silver lining in Gadgets that I have just recently is this lil tab right here - its my brand new Cherry Mobile Superion Tab! The best part of this gadget is that I got it for FREE! Yes finally I won at an event held by SM Accessories -- the Fashion Authority at the Republiq, Resorts World last Nov. 15. I'll be telling you more about that event and the exciting new, fab, and trendy accessories SM has in store for us. So again, thanks so much SM Accessories for my new gadget! I never thought that I'd actually win (it was a twitter contest during the event by the way) it but I still tried to join and lo and behold.. I won. It was unexpected and when I did win I felt really really blessed. Thank you Lord for this silver lining in my life right now. :)

Anyway, so yeah, I have many things (besides these gadgets) of which I am grateful for which also helped remind me to stay positive. So what about you coffeeholics? Are you going through something these past few days or weeks? Have you too found your silver lining or blessing? Do share share share! Have a great weekend!

Thanks SM Accessories and Smart for making my day!

The 2013 Giving Journal by Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is Here!

CBTL's 2013 Giving Journal comes in 2 colors this year!
Dark and Light Brown. I like the darker one. What's your pick?
HEY COFFEEHOLICS! Guess what? Giving Back is Easy with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's 2013 Giving Journal.  Now that CBTL is having its 10th year anniversary here in the Philippines (its 50th abroad!), CBTL will be spreading the cheer early by handing out the stamp cards as early as this October 31, 2012! Yay for us coffeeholic addicts and collectors!

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf celebrates its 50th Year
and its 10th year here in the Philippines!
A brand built on compassion, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has long supported charities, foundations, schools, and other organizations in need. The CBTL continues its support for the Real LIFE Foundation by dedicating proceeds from the Giving Journal to the organization.

AND get this, CBTL's President, Walden Chu, shares to us that this year, they've decided to make it easier for people to share the gift of giving by lowering the number of stamps to just TWELVE (12)!!!! CBTL wants us all to be inspired to share in our passion for genuine kindness all throughout the year.

ONLY 12 STAMPS NEEDED
to get your CBTL Giving Journal!
How's that for a Christmas treat? :) Yay
To get that stamp, you just need a minimum single-receipt purchase of any Original Ice Blended, Coffee-based, or Tea-based Beverage, or Frozen Swirl and it qualifies you to get a stamp card and a stamp on a corresponding box or circle rather on that card. The drink assignments per "circle" is simple! All you need to do is get 1 Original Ice Blended, 1 Espresso Drink, 1 Tea Latte, 1 Red Velvet Hot Cocoa or Red Velvet Ice Blended, and 8 of any of the aforementioned drinks. Fill up all 12 and submit the card to the nearest CBTL store and you get the journal. Easy Breezy right?

The CBTL journal comes with a "gift tag" with a TO and FROM label.
So you can actually give this as a gift this Christmas! Isn't it neat? :) Love it!
The CBTL Journal has become more than just something to write our thoughts on. The Giving Journal has pages upon pages of great features centered on giving back. The 2013 Giving Journal has sheets that show moments where the brand has helped many of its loyal customers carve out their own way of kindness in the hearts of many, making it the perfect avenue for people to embark on a journey of giving.

CBTL 2013 Giving Journal Coupons
Oh and another notable feature for CBTL's Giving Journal is the monthly coupons which I find one of the awesome things that makes us keep coming back for more of CBTL. They not only inspire generosity but also give generously even to us their customers! Love it!

Thank you CBTL! I'm one HAPPY COFFEEHOLIC!
Oh and yes my dear coffeeholics, I am absolutely thrilled to be part of the first group of people to get their hands on the journal! Teeeheee.. kinilig ako! haha. I've been an avid fan of CBTL for AGES! Ever since they first started to give out notebooks years ago (anyone who has that give me a holler! :P), I've been collecting their stuff ever since. I've got the red notebook.. and the black and white one! And yeah I definitely got my hands on the very first giving journal by CBTL. I really love their concept and how they really focused on the giving part and even encouraged their loyal customers to be givers as well. That's why I didn't mind spending lots (ahaha.. oy totoo diba.. pinagiipunan pa yung pang gastos nyan!) to get me some stamps to be able to claim my journal. Coz I know the money I spend means also money to be given to others! Scholars pa at that.

The wonderful team who were with us at the CBTL branch of Robinson's Magnolia were kind enough to explain that at each stamp card was a thank you letter from some of the scholars who were a recipient of the Giving Journal proceeds last year. It definitely stirs up one's heart to know that even through this we can help.

CBTL's RED VELVET Hot Cocoa is back!
While there, we were also treated with Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf's the Holiday drinks and sweets for this Christmas! So those RED VELVET fans of last year, well don't fret coz its back again for this Holidays! Red Velvet Hot Cocoa and Red Velvet Ice Blended is back for all of us to enjoy this Christmas season.

Yummy Holiday Treats from CBTL!
All of you sweet tooths out there, its time to also have a taste of CBTL's divine sweet treats! This Christmas CBTL will be having three new desserts to tantalize us -- Chocolate Caramel Fudge, Raspberry Chocolate Cake, and Rum Cake. YUM YUM YUM!

CBTL Rum Cake @ Php115
Promise.. it smells like rum! Plus it has some walnuts underneath that icing making it super yum!
My personal favorite is the RUM Cake! I absolutely love it. Its not that sweet and it definitely makes you want some more. The first two cakes only cost P135 while the Rum Cake is P115. Well, if I gain weight this Christmas now you know the culprits! LOL!

Give In To Giving!
2013 Giving Journal by Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf
So what are you waiting for Coffeeholics? Seriously, head to the nearest Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf shop NOW and spread the gift of giving! Happy Holidays coffeeholics!

From a Coffeeholic Blogger to a Coffeeholic Teacher

Hey Coffeeholics!!! I'm back!!!!! Yeah I know I still can't believe myself that I actually was able to NOT go online for more than a month. It was a conscious decision on my part. I had to do it for my sanity (lolz..), health, and rest. The major reason why I haven't been online these past few months is due to my work. I've been extending hours in school to train and coach several of our students for a week long competition where they will compete with other schools with the same curriculum as ours in the areas of academics, athletics, speech and drama, arts and exhibts (including photography and needlework), and music (vocal & instrumental). I coach/train students in the academics and needlework category. Plus I accompanied them during the competitions itself (which was last week). The training and coaching was tiring which explains my online disappearance. Most of the time, I go home wiped out and have no strength (seriously!) to open my laptop much less type. I really wanted to blog but I needed the rest. I know I missed a lot of events and good blogging opportunities (sighs.. >__<) But then.. the results in the end truly paid off! Here are some photos of some of the stuff my "kids" did which I'm so proud of.. proud that they were able to accomplish it and not only that.. bag medals because of it!

Oil Pastel - won 1st place!
(no I didn't coach them in arts.. hehe. just wanna show you guys their talent!)

Acrylics - 1st Place din sa competition.. one of my favorite pieces!
Watercolor - 5th Place
This is also one of my favorites! Its also the wallpaper on my cellphone now.

AFGHANS (crochet)
3rd Place
I helped "coached" and train my student in this one.

Embroidery - 1st Place

This is one of the most difficult pieces of embroidery that any of my students made.
The design came from an oil painting that she saw but the rest she did all by herself.
I just helped pick out the types of stitches she will do and gave some suggestions.
I can't help but be amazed by all the students' gifts and talents and hard work. They all did an amazing job and I'm so proud of them. Not all of them won but the experience and the lessons that they all learned through all of this will hopefully spurn them on to further develop their skills and talents and encourage them to give their best. I'm grateful to God that it all paid off! We went home with the overall award in academics and third overall in arts and exhibts and in music. Truly God has been good to my school and to the kids. So yeah, all the abstinence on the net and focus on them was all worth it. :) Seeing their happy faces especially when they got their medals was worth it.

So yeah, this basically sums up what I've been doing when I wasn't online. Hehe. Thank goodness for food supplements, vitamins, and a whole truckload of coffee to keep me up and running. I'm finally able to get that  much needed rest and catch up on my backlogs (ack. >_< super sorry about that!) this sembreak. Yay sembreak! Hahaha.. yes, the perks of being a teacher is awesome. So I'm glad to be back and yes.. Brew of  The Day is back in service. :)
