Social Media Quiz and Teacher Personality Test

Out of the million things that I can do on the internet, one of my secret joys is answering online quizzes or tests especially if it is supposed to describe my personality or something about me to help understand myself. I don't know why, honestly.. maybe its the aspiring "career guidance counselor" in me who wants to find out all about this stuff. Anyway, I just thought to share it to you guys and maybe you'd be interested to find out more about yourself as well.

As I was browsing through various blogs that I've followed and encountered, one of the entries by Kira Permunian really caught my attention and I decided to give it a try myself. It was a quiz with a most challenging question.."How addicted to Social Media are you? So I clicked on the image and tried the quiz myself and answered the questions as HONESTLY as possible. And THIS is my result:

71%
This quiz was provided by - BlueGlass - Media Experts

I had to laugh when I found this out. I'm glad I'm not TOO addicted to Social Media. LOL. But the number is still a bit alarming. The funny thing is, I bet there are a lot of people out there who have probably the same number or even a higher percentage than mine. Nowadays more and more people are glued to their social networks and being influenced so much by social media. People now value the number of followers they have on twitter or the number of Facebook "likes" a person has on their own pages. Followers and "likes" are indicators of how much influence or clout an individual has. Oh and there are even companies now who help individuals get that clout through free facebook likes. Amazing eh? Still for me, the bottomline is -- I should really spend more time on real life activities.

Also I stumbled upon this "What type of teacher are you? TEACHER PERSONALITY QUIZ" According to the site, its not really accurate. It is nonscientific and mostly meant for fun. There are several types -- the ditto master, the strict disciplinarian, the fair and balanced, or the popular teacher. Of course my result was the "Fair and Balanced" which definitely made me happy. LOL. Yep, this test was made just for fun eh! Anyway, here was the full description of my result:

------------------------
You have the Fair and Balanced Personality:

You are a teacher who students can really depend on to be fair. You are consistent and balanced in your approach. You rarely raise your voice and you almost always treat every student the same. No favortism in your room. Wonderful!

Seriously though...: Fair and balanced teachers make teaching seem easy. They have less disruptions in their classes because students realize that they will be dealt with according to the rules but in a fair and consistent way. If you ever slip up and do something that students perceive as unfair or inconsistent, don't worry - they'll be happy to point it out.
------------------------

And if you are wondering, YES, I try my best to be FAIR and BALANCED. I want my students to like me but I also want them to learn! lol. Ok, thats all for now. Time for me to go to sleep. Will be subbing for one of our summer school teachers tomorrow.

Charice back on Glee!

Yes, I AM a Charice Fan. Loud and proud! I watched the telecast here in the Philippines last night and it was amazing! The Glee episode "Night of Neglect" featured Charice singing Celine Dion's "All By Myself" was superb as usual!!! Some people on youtube think that her rendition here is not as good as her singing it live like during the one on David Foster and Friends tour. Well, you compare and judge!

This is her second time on Glee. She was awesome though her character, Sunshine Corazon, showed her "mean diva~ish" streak. So unlike Charice though.. hehe. Of course with her comeback, the much buzzed news about her new single -- "Before It Explodes" which was originally written by Ari Levine and Bruno Mars.

Also this week, Charice tweeted about her other song release which is "One Day" which is produced and written by @NickJonas. Its cool and catchy, personally I really liked that song. Apparently its also part of Acuvue's advertisement campaign. Charice also tweeted about this encouraging her fans to visit Acuvue's FB page (click here) and like it and join a contest which looks like only available to US citizens. (sniffs.. ) All you have to do to do to join the competition is to send an awesome picture of yourself and your 1Day dream phrase and get people to vote for your photo. The prizes sound awesome!

Six month supply of1·DAY ACUVUE® MOIST® Brand Contact Lenses

GRAND PRIZE

Star with Charice in the music video for her hit "One day" or see your 1·DAY photo in the video, plus get a free download of “One day”.

I would have soooo joined but unfortunately contest is only open for US citizens. So if you live in the U.S. and you are a Charice fan like me, JOIN CONTEST NOW! lol. Then maybe you can give me that supply of Acuvue contacts! *winks* Anyway, if you wanna hear her the ONE DAY song, you can click the video below and enjoy. Let me know what you think! :)

B.U.M. My Reality My Story - Bloggers Meetup

http://bumequipment.com.ph
FINALLY, the school year is over! And now, I get to sit back, relax, and update my life online. Last April 8, 2011, Friday, my cousin Jen invited me to go with her to the BUM Equipment 2nd Blogger's Night @ Dulcinea, T. Morato. The event was supposed to start at 7 pm. But since I came from work (my last official day of duty before my summer break from school!), I arrived late.. around 8pm. Thank goodness I didn't arrive too late and I was able to have a fun time there to meet up with some bloggers, view BUM's new clothes, and have a grand time taking pictures!

So as it was my first "bloggers" meetup and event meetup too, I was really excited. I didn't know what to expect. It was great that my cousin and Rache were there so I didn't feel too uncomfortable. Later on, I was able to meet up with another fellow blogger, Bec and we had a cool time getting to know her as well. As for the event, it was really great! They setup a place where you can take pics of yourself with the BUM logo at the back.

Then I registered and was given this really cool giveaway bag with awesome goodies (thanks so much BUM... the black bag is my favorite.. a teacher can never have too many bags.. hahaha).

Vote for JEN!

We were also given a chance to "vote" for our favorite blogger and of course, who else would I vote for then my cousin. She also won a prize for being one of the top 3 "most voted" blogger.
Then Rache and I checked out the clothes.

B.U.M. had a lot of statement shirts. Definitely for those who want to express themselves--especially for the Emo people out there. I know, I used to be a bit "emo" too! LOL. Here are some of the shirts that I found interesting and struck a chord with me.

Hmmm, I guess the shirt brings back strong memories of me when I was still in High School! Hehehe.. I'm not gonna elaborate on that. Oh the sweet, poignant, and now something to laugh over memories. :p

When I saw this shirt, it really spoke to me.. and I remembered the times when I felt empty and broken. Now, I'm Healed and Restored and I can now look back at those times with a smile on my face because I know that God can use a situation to make you into a better and stronger person.

Anyway I had a lot of fun and hopefully I will be able to do things like this again during my summer vacation. Thank you BUM, Jen, Rache, and Bec for the awesome time last Friday. For me, it was indeed an event to remember!

Rache, Bec, Jen, and ME!
