OOTD - Madly Magnificent Magenta

Dress - SM Surplus Shop
Black Cover-up Cardi - Bossini Ladies (Thrfted Find)
Shoes - SM Parisian
Black ring - SM Accessories
Necklace - Girl Shoppe
Beaded Black Bracelet - DIY by a friend
Magenta Bag - Bought from Vern Enciso at BU3!

Hey Coffeeholics! Just wanna let you know that I'm not angry or mad. I wanted to see what the effect would be if I didn't smile at all for my outfit post. So what do you think? Is it too mataray or what? hehe. Still, I think smiling is so much better than going for a "mataray" look. Its been said that a SMILE can be one's greatest accessory. I remember one of my students would always remind me to smile (haha kahit mainit ang ulo ko.. hihirit yun! napapangiti tuloy ako.. hehe) and would swear that it makes me look younger. Haha. Sige na nga.

I love my Madly Magnificently Magenta BAG! I got it during the 3rd Bloggers United event last June. One of the things that I wanted to buy badly was a pretty bag and I had a strong feeling that I'd find one at BU3.. so when I saw this at the Enciso sisters booth, I fell in love! The most awesome part? I got it for a steal! :) A pop of color sure makes a lot of difference to an outfit.

Anyway, I've been busy with some things at work and some time to think about stuff which led me to be reflective and so I haven't been online. One of the things that I've come to realized during this time of reflection is that..  I badly need to lose weight. So recently one of my cousins has been pestering and encouraging me to exercise exercise exercise! So I've kinda started and we use work out dance videos to make it more fun. After 2 sessions I've come to the conclusion that dancing is HARD. I don't know which is better.. dance exercise video? Or kenpo/taebo type exercise video? I haven't tried ZUMBA yet but I will soon. So what about you? Do you have any suggestions on what exercise vid on youtube I can follow or watch? Please do share share share!

Justin Bieber for Proactiv

As you all know, I'm always on the lookout for the perfect skincare treatment what with me on a constant battle with my zit zone. Though it has considerably tamed since the last time I've talked about this, the fact is that acne still breaks out on my face. Its disheartening. Now I'm seriously thinking if I should really invest in Proactiv. I've seen it and heard about it but I have never tried it.

skin solution, acne, proactiv
Proactiv 30-day Kit
Proactiv Solution boasts as the #1 anti-acne system in America and is now here in the Philippines. I guess it is popular enough to be confident enough to make its mark here in the Philippines. Check out the Proactiv Testimonials section, you could probably understand why. Even Justin Bieber himself swears on Proactive! Watch him talk all about it here:

Justin Bieber for Proactiv--definitely makes sense! After all, he is still a teenager who still undergoes the same skin problems just like all the other teens out there. For clear skin, Justin Bieber uses the Proactiv 3-Step System Products which comes in a 30-Day Kit and in a 60-Day Kit.

Proactiv 60-day kit.
The website states that as a CombinationTherapy™ system, Proactiv Solution doesn't just clear your acne but also helps prevent pimples from coming back! I know that sounds too good to be true right? But Proactiv takes acne seriously, so seriously that they have a Money Back Guarantee if you don't get Clear Skin. I guess this is what makes Proactiv different from all the other skin care products out there. If they have enough confidence in themselves to guarantee our money back if it doesn't work, surely Proactiv is indeed worth the try eh?

Justin Bieber's Girlfriend Perfume

Anyway there's good news for all Bieber fans out there. Proactiv Solution is joining the Bieber Fever this August to October and they're giving away the much talked about Justin Bieber's Girlfriend Perfume and Laptop Case. All interested buyers have to do is purchase their Proactiv Kit so they will get the chance to win these exciting items.

Lenddo - a helping hand in times of financial need

Finally the rain has stopped. We can now thank the Lord that the rains and floods will subside in our country and that finally we can move forward after this. I look around at the internet and see the photos of houses and businesses destroyed or ruined by the flood. Families with ruined appliances and houses ravaged by the flood or in dire need of repair. Definitely the next challenge that most of us have to face after this tragedy is to rebuild and refurnish. Unfortunately for most of the middle and lower class sector, many would need to raise money to accomplish this.

This is where Lenddo, the world's first online platform that empowers the emerging middle class by giving access to financial services such as debt consolidation, business loans, or cash loans. All you have to do is build up your reputation and credibility through your social networks like Facebook or Twitter to apply for a loan. There is NO COST to join Lenddo and get business loans or cash loans.

Lenddo would be perfect for those who really need a helping hand in this time of need especially after the deluge of the monsoon rains. By becoming a member of Lendo, those affected by the flood can get Lenddo loans for medical emergencies and home improvement. Lenddo loans can also help in terms of education or business loans. Wanna know how much you can get on a cash loan? Try out the Lenddo Personal Loans Calculator on the homepage of the website to try out an estimated monthly loan payment. The first loan you can get is based on your monthly salary. That is why you must be employed and have a bank account in order to get a Lenddo loan. Lenddo is an easy and paperless way of getting a loan. Follow these steps in order to get your Lenddo loan:

1. Go to www.lendo.com.ph and click the Apply Now button.
2. Fill up the information with your complete name, email address, password, gender, birthday, and mobile number.

Check out my Lenddo Profile here.
Click LOANS to find out if you can get a loan already.
3. Once filled up, you will then land on Lenddo's dashboard. Then go click the LOANS tab. There you will see the requirements needed to get a loan. The first requirement to get a cash loan is to raise your Lenddo score to at least 400 points. This is the part where Facebook, Google, Twitter, Yahoo, and even Linkedin can help you. You will have to start linking your accounts to Lenddo to build up your credibility and your Lenddo score. That is why it is important for you to be transparent, to be honest, and to be engaged. The more social network accounts you link to Lenddo, then all the more will your Lenddo score increase.

My Lenddo Profile - I got score of 600!
I linked my Facebook, Yahoo, Gmail, and LinkedIn accounts to increase my score!

4. Then BUILD up your trusted network. Invite your family, co-workers, or friends to join Lenddo and get a Lenddo score of 400 as well. Inviting these people helps increase your Lenddo score and also fulfills the requirement of getting a trusted network for your Loan. A trusted network simply means that these people will vouch for your and you can also vouch for them. Just be reminded that these people that you add to your trusted network are people whom you can really trust. Don't worry, they won't be asked to be your co-signor. For clarifications and more information about this, kindly visit the Lenddo FAQ Section. Or better yet, check out this slideshare that will give you a picture how Lenddo works.

Lenddo from Lenddo

I know this sounds too good to be true especially for those who need money or to get a loan at a short amount of time. I too was skeptical at first, but then I checked out the Lenddo Facebook account. I also read the testimonials given by people who have already tried Lenddo out.

Too good to be true? Well, that's what one of them said but it happened and it worked. I for one haven't tried getting a loan yet at Lenddo. I'd probably get a loan here one day when the time comes when I need a cash loan asap. Maybe Lenddo could improve further in their security and assurances that the information shared to them will be kept absolutely secure. Imparting such information makes me uncomfortable. I've been taught to be very cautious on what information I should be wary on sharing online. Though I understand that Lenddo needs a lot of information about us--that we be transparent to them as much as possible so that they will also be assured that we will uphold the other end of the loan which is paying them back. So as a reminder, make sure that when you take a Lenddo loan, you are absolutely certain that you can pay them back else they will take legal actions if payment is not made.

Still this has not deterred others to get a loan. Some have even took a second loan. Wouldn't it be great to get to access this kind of financial service as well? One huge factor for me joining and getting a Lenddo loan is the fact that it is FREE plus you don't need a guarantor to get a loan! In the previous school that I worked for, I had to get a guarantor to get any kind of loan at the school coop. I wasn't too thrilled with that coz in return, I had to guarantee the person who guaranteed me. Since I was a new teacher, I didn't know my co-teachers that much during that time so I wasn't confident enough in guaranteeing them that they'd pay up. I had to forego in getting a loan and so I didn't push through with my plan on taking up my Master's degree during that time. So I'm glad Lenddo is now providing these kinds of services to people who need it for debt consolidation, personal loans, and business loans. I'm sure it would be a big help to all especially now after what happened during the flood this week.

So what do you think Coffeeholics? Wanna check this out? Well, if you are in dire need of cash why not eh? Just remember to be smart, be aware, and be responsible especially in your financial obligations and transactions. Lenddo can help you especially if you do your part.

Food Diary - The Country Style Now Available at Trinoma

Hey coffeeholics! The sun is shining again. HOOOORAY! I'm so happy to see the sun. Let us continue on praying for good weather. Anyway, just wanna share one of my "finds" for the Food Diary section of Brew of the Day. Let me all reintroduce you to one of my favorite donut/pasta/pastry store - the COUNTRY STYLE.

I was on my way to meet JEN (shopgirljen.blogpsot.com) at Trinoma one day and we agreed to meet up at Landmark's Foodcourt near the grocery. So I hopped on the escalator and as I was going down, I was greeted by a pleasant surprise. The COUNTRY STYLE  is now here and available at Trinoma! YAY!

I've always been a fan of Country Style's pastries. I can still remember always buying from them during my college days. They used to have a stall at SM City North Edsa and I remember waiting until cut off ng closing coz its Buy 1 Take 1! hehe.

The crullers got to be my favorite! I totally love the choco walnut cruller.
The choco walnut cruller is the one at the very back.. the brown one. hehe.

Also my favorite Country Style donut has got to be the "Tiger Paw" donut! Its called Tiger paw coz it is shaped like one. I don't reminder if it was cinnamon but I do remember it was sweet, a bit gooey and caramelized, and yummy. :P Unfortunately it wasn't available when I visited their stand.
Triple Choco Boom is also a favorite. My sister would always beg me to bring home one as a pasalubong! What I really love about their donuts and pastry is that it is not too sweet and tasted just right. I love the texture of their donuts which is not too airy but just enough to fill your tummy.
Yum yum!

One of my favorite Country Style branches used to be at West Avenue.
They served past and breakfast meals - my favorite meal of the day!
I remember always buying their bagel and egg sandwich. They'd sprinkle it with pepper and put on some butter and its definitely a winner for me. I ordered one that day but sadly the eggs aint that fluffy and yummy like they used to be. :( such a disappointment. It cost me P100 (used to be P60 or P70 back then around 2004 or 2005) so it was kinda sad that I wasn't happy when I finished my meal. I hope their other breakfast or pasta meals are better.

wanna try this one out!
I didn't buy any donuts that day but I surely will next time I drop by Trinoma Landmark Foodcourt.
So coffeeholics, are you familiar with The Country Style? What's your favorite donut? Or do you prefer another brand? Let me know your thoughts. Share share share! Mwah!
