Converse Eastwood Grand Opening

A week ago, I had the opportunity to attend the grand opening of Converse's brand new store at Eastwood Citywalk! Its just near The Blue Onion which was also the venue of their event during that night. I was able to go there with Jen. That particular Saturday was quite hectic since earlier that day we were at Fully Booked at the Fort for the Blogapalooza event. We decided to proceed with the event despite the rain and all and I'm so glad we did push through with it coz I would have missed out a lot! There were a lot of familiar shoes on display but a lot of new ones as well.

Different lengths and sizes and all sort of styles for those who want to make a statement.
Take your pic from low cut up to high cut chucks!

Even kids and cartoon or comic fans can express their love for Dr. Seuss and DC Comics by strutting around in your Converse.

Who would have thought that wearing sneakers can be so much fun!

I also like how you have the option to whether get the low or high cut of  a particular design.
Of course the purple one caught my attention! hihi!

And yes stuff on sale! Though I don't think its still sale now.

For the love of PRINT! Kiddie prints anyone?
Love the cool red bag!
Converse Bags sure look cool and comfy especially for those still in school!
Agree! For Chucks owners out there, how long have you had yours?
Its really durable diba!
And the following are some of my personal favorites:

This just looked SUPER COOL!
Peg - combat boots Converse style
White Converse Boots for the win!
Still the classic look always is a winner!
And yes take a good look at the red low cut one at the lower left pic!
That's the new modern look of Converse.
This however is my personal favorite! When I saw this I immediately showed it to Jen.
Its sooo cool coz its TRANSPARENT. You can wear cute socks inside PLUS its
resistant to rain. Now that's a cool feature right there!

After the extensive picture taking session, me and Jen went to THE BLUE ONION and we ate dinner there! This is what I ate:

Yes I know it looks like turon but its not. I totally forgot what its called but that's supposed to be chicken breast with pork (or was it bacon) in the center. And that's crunchy caramelized kamote chips on top.

I love the amazing interior of The Blue Onion. This is the entrance. It aptly fits its name diba?

Me and Jen stayed there for some time for the event to start. While waiting, we were able to meet and get to know other pinoy bloggers who also happened to be at the Blogapalooza event that day! I was quite happy to meet other bloggers of different niches. I hope I will be able to get to know them more and meet up with them in future events as well.

Jolaris , Me,  MarcoPolo, Gab,  Marco
The event started a bit late. We only stayed up til 12 midnight feeling very much like Cinderella. But it all ended well with Jen winning a prize during the raffle draw that night.

And the winner is..
SHOPGIRL JEN!
Kintarooe82 from thetechnoclast.com also won!  Pinoy bloggers for the win!
Had a great night and thank you very much Converse for inviting us and also for this cool red and black sneakers! I've been loving black and red colors lately and this really echoes the rocker emo chic look that I sometimes emulate. hihi!

So Coffeeholics! What are you waiting for? Grabe a pair of Converse for yourselves right now. They have this promo up til the end of September. You get a free tote bag for every Php 2000 worth of purchase on every regular priced items.

P.S. Don't forget to LIKE Converse on Facebook to be updated on the latest news and promos of Converse Philippines!

Blogapalooza - A Blogger Experience

When I started blogging, I didn't think that I'd be influencing people by my thoughts and opinions. I started blogging with the purpose of letting my voice be heard. All I knew was that I wanted to write and express myself online. And somehow that journey has led me here as a fashion/beauty/events/teaching blogger. When I applied to Blogapalooza, I really wanted to get in. I have been blogging for some time and have been quite grateful with the opportunities that has come by my way. But I knew that if I get in Blogapalooza, I would be diving in to a whole new world of opportunities. Thus the Blogapalooza event is indeed a boon for bloggers out there.

"Blogapalooza hopes to bring these influencers to help them get their fix of the newest, latest, trendiest and coolest products / services / thingamajigs out in the market today."

And boy did they DELIVER on their promise. So I'm really grateful that I got in. Many thanks to Vince Golangco and Team When in Manila for making all of this possible! I learned so much and met new people during the event.

Daily Fashionista and Brew of the Day
So first things first, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Daily Fashionista (Ms. D! lol!) for letting me, Jen, and Gel hitch a ride with her. I must say, her driving skills are impressive. Thank you for being SUPER and getting us to the venue almost just in time. Also, I really am super kilig that I finally met you. AND your wonderful CHANEL BAG. Haha. I saw Ms. D using her spy bag cam skills and I'm quite impressed.

Back to the event - The First Blogapalooza Event was held at FULLY BOOKED at The Fort. Not only is it  one of the most wonderful places of the world (kaisensei is a bookworm.. haha!) but they also have STARBUCKS on one of their floors. Its like a 3 - in - 1 treat -- Books, Starbucks, AND Blogapalooza. That's one slice of heaven right there. Unfortunately, I couldn't let myself wander around the store nor sip some much needed java at Starbucks coz I had an event to attend. So off we trotted to the 5th floor.

I'm number 67.  Taken by my cel cam.
First things first is the REGISTRATION. Its very important that you register yourself coz the Blogapalooza event was by invite only. Also, you could only claim your loot bag with your name tag given at the event. The ID also has a number on it which serves as your raffle prize number. Cool noh? Unfortunately, I didn't win.

I'm a PROUD MEMBER of the Blogapalooza community!
Oh yeah, they had this huge tarp with all our blog urls posted on it. That was super cool. The first blog name that really caught my attention was Anagon's (lower right hand corner)! hihi. Then I found mine.

You can also see Daily Fashionista's url here. I think they posted everything in alphabetical order.
Since it was around lunch time already, we were getting a bit hungry. Let me just again reiterate how awesome Blogapalooza is for also providing yummy food at the event! I was so hungry I completely forgot to take PHOTOS of the food. But it was from Italianni's and it was divine. We also had free drinks (which were delicious) care of Healthy First. I love it!

After eating, we roamed around a bit. And took photos of the place and some of the sponsors who had booths. I will be making a more specific post later on about the sponsors. :)

And here's the venue while the place wasn't still jam packed. Haha. Once the event started, I barely could the stage coz everyone was standing or trying the best to take photos of the stage. It was really exciting and awesome to finally meet everyone whom I only read online. So check out some of Blogapalooza's Influential Bloggers!

Obviously I had lots of fun meeting up with the dears. Then I got too engrossed listening to the wonderful sponsors of blogapalooza. I will be posting that in a separate post.
