For The Love of Boots | OOTD

http://www.uhsecho.com/2011/01/boots-the-ins-and-outs-at-uhs/

I have always had this fascination over boots ever since High School. I love boots and always want to wear boots even though the climate here in the Philippines is NOT conducive to wearing boots. For me, I don't care if it isn't appropriate to wear boots here! I LOVE boots and I want to wear them FOREVER! I remember Jen and Rache begging me to try out different shoe styles because I've become so enamored with my boots that I wear them almost every time that I could. Here are some boots that I'm really loving so far this year:

I think only she can pull this off!

Miley Cyrus wearing over the knee boots when she had her concert here in the Philippines She's looking absolutely fierce and a bit more mature because of it. She also wore black socks/stockings giving an illusion of elongated legs.

Since I'm short, I tend to not wear over the knee boots. I have short legs so wearing boots that properly fit me is a challenge. Its kind of frustrating though coz I really love my boots! I want to wear boots and show them off so here is one way I showed off my mid-calf boots. I wore a black sock underneath to sort of help achieve the long boot effect I was trying to go for. I don't know if I did it right. I wanna buy a new pair soon. Should I get a bootie, tall boots, or midcalf? I'm also planning to get flat ones so I can go around the wall wearing em without feeling discomfort.

Saturday Fun at Bon Chon with L'Oreal Shampoo Giveaway and OOTD

Last Saturday, some of my blogger friends and I were especially invited to a yummy event at BON CHON many thanks to PublicityAsia. We met Miss PublicityAsia herself who was very kind and sweet and kept going around talking, gossiping, and making everyone comfortable! There were quite a number of people with us who attended this special event for the first few members of PublicityAsia's MDC1000 Club. Some notable guests who came were also Fashion Pulis and the stars of Beckynights. Also Miss Andrea from Bon Chon was very attentive and accommodating. She made sure that we our plates were always full. We loved the food but had to eventually beg for mercy! We were satisfied, stuffed, and super happy with the food! Yum yum!

Candid sana shot nila dito kaya lang biglang tumingin kaya click kaagad! hehe!

with blogger friends!
And of course, we had a chicken feast at Bon Chon! The food was super delicious. I ate 8 pieces of chicken! I will post a review on my food blog, kaicafereview.blogspot.com... watch out for it! Here's a preview of what I ate!

Just looking at this pic is enough to make my mouth water.. I want BON CHON CHICKEN!
Before we left, we each got a gift many thanks to L'Oreal and Ms.PublicityAsia! Love it!

Thats L'Oreal Paris! oh Yeah! And the Bon Chon bag is some of the food that I wasn't able to finish.
I love taking home food and sharing it to my family!

For those with GREASY DUlLL HAIR (well I know mine is  super oily.. so I think this is perfect for me!)
I already tried the L'Oreal Paris Shampoo and its conditioner and absolutely LOVED IT! All of us there each got a different kind of shampoo. I got L'Oreal Paris Nutri-Gloss Light Shine Shampoo for greasy dull hair. I admit that my hair turns really oily around late afternoon or at night making me look like a "basang sisiw" which makes me dislike taking photos of self during the night. I tried the L'Oreal shampoo the other morning with the conditioner. And usually when I use conditioner, the "greasy look" sets in even way before night time. BUT with L'Oreal, I was very much pleasantly surprised that NONE of that happened! My hair was light and free. Indeed it lessened the "greasy oily" look my hair usually has by the end of the night. I would say that at lest 90% less greasy! Wow that really worked. I'm gonna use my L'Oreal Paris Nutri-Gloss Light Shine Shampoo and Shine Conditioner from now on. Hope it will be a permanent hair solution for me!

Thank you Bon Chon, L'Oreal, Ms. Andrea, and PublicityAsia for this wonderful BON CHON treat for us!

For the OOTD, I wasn't able to get a solo pic of myself so I decided to share the spotlight to the two awesome bloggers that I met that day!

With Earth and Gelleesh. OOTD: Dress-Thrifted, shoes - Parisian, Belt - Bazaar
Finally I had a chance to meet up with Gelleesh! She was so fun to be with. Its really nice to meet up other bloggers in real life. She's one of the beauty bloggers that I interact almost daily at Twitter. Love you Gel!

P.S.  Meeting up with blogger friends in real life is fun! Other blogger friends here are Earth, Jen, and Rache. But I also have fun talking with other bloggers on Twitter. Have you added me yet? Search me! Or better yet, click that Twitter Button up there on my sidebar! Many thanks!

My New Love - Animal Print SM Parisian Shoes

If some of you have read my PFW series, you might recognize this photo here. Its a Gift Voucher that I won thanks to SM Parisian Shoes during Philippine Fashion Week last May 2011. I was spotted wearing Parisian Shoes during the event and was given this Gift Voucher as a prize! Yay thanks so much Parisian!

The Gift Voucher expires on the 30th of June, so I started canvassing for the perfect Parisian shoes ever since I got this. Here are some shoes that I looked at during this week before making my final decision.

Love the details of this one!
love the studded effect!
Other photos were too blurred to post. haha. sorry I was only using my cellphone cam.

I will be totally honest to you guys and admit that though I love the pretty shoes, only few pretty shoes love me back. Wearing high stiletto heels is very much painful for me. Stilettos just ain't my thing. I really like my heels to be fat and chunky. Secured support so they say.. Until I found this awesome ANIMAL PRINT peeptoe pumps which was on display at SM Makati.

I didn't get it at that time though coz I was in a hurry. But because of that I nearly missed availing this fierce shoes!!! I nearly cried when I found out at the SM North branch that it was no longer available in any sizes except size 10! I wanted it sooo badly. Thankfully the manager was kind enough to search for the availability of this awesome Cheetah Animal Print shoes. I know this shoes weren't here last May. It must have been sold  out fast! So I breathed a sigh of relief when I found out that SM Cubao had only size 7. Even though it was a tad bit bigger in size, I still wanted to get it! There are ways and means a girl can do to wear a fab shoe if she wants to (meaning stuff it with cork.. haha!). I immediately reserved it (yes you can do that!) and was able to pick up the shoes the following day! Many thanks to the wonderful Parisian staff at SM North and SM Cubao. They were very patient and helpful. So here are my darling cheetah print shoes!

Classy RED box. NICE!

"Peptoe" hehe... FTW!

individually carefully wrapped in soft tissue-like bags
Parisian label = check!

Rawr Cheetah Print Shoes! Yay!
Check out the heels! hehe.. YES I bought it despite of the heels!!!

Yes I know, it's NOT a wedge or chunky heel! Believe it or not, the shoes are actually comfortable. The tractor like platform in the front gives ample support and so far looks quite promising. I'm waiting for the perfect event to show off these darlings. Yay! Can't wait to wear em!

Thank you so much SM Parisian! Love it!
