BLOGGERS UNITED Shopping Spree

Its almost a week since Bloggers United and I apologize for my late uploads! I have a day job and well yeah.. I have to prioritize what and when to blog. Seriously though, I should really learn how to not be so "o.c." when it comes to blogging. I want the layout and the pics to be perfect, blah blah blah and so the long wait before I blog. Sorry! Anyhow, I still want to give kudos to the people I met and the stuff that I bought from them. I REALLY enjoyed my shopping experience at Bloggers United last week. I haven't regretted every penny that I spent!

So before going to BU, I already prepped myself that:
1. I had a budget limit.
2. I will only buy what I need which is SHOES and a BAG.
3. I will buy accessories! I love accessories and so does my mom, my sis.. well you get the point! So the plan was to get a necklace, earring, ring, and bracelet.
4. Take pictures and have picture taken with bloggers!

So as usual, I WAS LATE. I have work so I can only go once work is over. I was able to snag an early leave though (like 1 hour earlier!) so that consumed my travel time. I met up with my ever faithful wonderful cousin and blogger companion - Jen (naks!) and we rode the MRT to BU event. When we alighted from the train, it was POURING! As in literally like it was raining cats and dogs and all the other animals in the planet! We had a dilemma, to go or not to go! I wanted to be at BU asap so I told Jen that we go make a run for it. I ended up SOAKED. Yep, as in I had to go to the grocery at SM Megamall and buy a towel and towel dry myself kind of soaked! I wasn't thrilled to appear at BU looking like a drenched cat so we (actually ako lang ata.. hehe) dried off and waited it out a bit for the rain to subside. While waiting, Rache went over to join us on our way to BU. Finally, the rain subsided and we all trotted to BU venue.

Ang shala lang naman ng lugar! It was jampacked with bloggers, buyers, and a lot of interesting items begging to be bought! (oh no! LOL) Anyway, here are my lovely purchases.

First stop was to check out Ava's booth. I bought this lovely necklace there! It was a bit hard to choose on what I should buy! I was a bit sad that because it was a bit late, most of the good stuff was bought already. Still I love the necklace and I plan to wear it soon!

Then we saw the beautiful Miss Earth! She had pretty earrings to sell and these sparkling purple glams that she recommended me stole my heart. I bought it right away! She was sooo kind to include this freebie Pure Beauty Super Brightening Facial Mask! I'm going to try that out soon.

Then we went over to look at various bloggers' stuff.. and saw this awesome H&M wedge boots owned by
Rosanna Aranaz. I bought it for only Php 500!

Right next to Miss Rosanna was the booth by The Shady Chronicles. I was able to snag this skirt for only Php 100!

And last but not the least, I was able to meet the two wonderful Plump Pinays Stacy and Danah. I love these two gals who advocate loving one's own body shape! They rock!

with Stacy and Danah!
I bought these two cool accessories from them! :)

got this for 100 pesos

got this for 50 pesos. it had a defect but it was repairable.
my mom makes accessories so she was able to fix this in a jiffy!
We also had fun talking and meeting up with the bloggers. I made a new friend in wickeRmoss' CharlesAngel. She was really sweet and lovely!

She gave me three bottles of Vitamin C (Vitamin Boost) drink! It was a timely offer coz I was really thirsty. I brought home the other 2 bottles and had it chilled. AND it tastes so much yummier when cold! I love it and it really energizes and refreshes a person. I love the recommendation that this drink was for "people who lack sleep.." hehe.. I needed that. Maybe I should stock up on that for future purposes!

And so here ends my shopping experience at Bloggers United! Oh and here are some photos we had at the free photobooth of the event. :)

Jen, Kai, and Rache!

with my sister Laura! :)

Thank you to the organizers and bloggers of BLOGGERS UNITED! There must be a part 2 of this soon. :)

High School Reunion, Pasalubongs, and Coke

Hey, I thought Pag-asa was going to announce that Summer is officially over. BUT WHAT IS THIS HEAT? ugh.. Its creating havoc to my lungs and health. I'm also supposed to be cleaning my classroom but I have taken refuge here in the faculty room because it has air conditioning. I can't open the aircon to my right now coz I'm in the process of cleaning and decorating. The heat is absolutely discouraging.

So to cheer myself up, my coteachers and I had a drinking break -- COKE BREAK! (its still caffeine!)

COKE SAKTO!
.

Its indeed cool and refreshing! I don't care if its not healthy! I just needed something really icy cool and sparkling to revive my flagging spirits. Honestly though, I'm not really a big fan of soft drinks. I couldn't even finish that sakto bottle! But there are times you know that you just have to have that chug of coke neh? :) I'm now one highly caffeinated and happy girl!

HIGHSCHOOL REUNIONS. So last Tuesday night, Naomi - my bestfriend since elementary, and I went out to Eastwood City Mall to meet up with one of our balikbayan school mates. I say school mate coz we weren't from the same batch but nevertheless we were good friends it felt good to catch up on them after a long long time! We ate at Jack's Loft and had really good pasta! I ordered my usual Pesto Pasta with Chicken and Naomi had Pasta with Adobo Flakes. I liked my pesto but LOVED her Adobo Flakes Pasta! I'm going to order that next time! Its just super sad that I didn't bring my camera. We only had our cellphone cams which doesn't have any flash. So pls excuse the quality of the following photos:

Naomi took this photo of our HUGE "Fishbowl Iced Tea" drink at Jack's Loft. It looks more like a vase to me!

Me and balikbayan Nuelle! She's based in California now.
Me and Pipo! After 11 years, he's back in the Philippines! What did he miss the most? THE FOOD!
Wala daw tatalo sa home made Pinoy cooking dito! :)

Bought this at Lock and Lock at Eastwood City Mall.
Its gonna be my personal utensils this school year in school! :)
AND YAY for pasalubong! I got a bath and body works MIDNIGHT PROMEGANATE  cologne spray and lotion.
Also a pack of REESE's and a disposable COLGATE toothbrush "Wisp".

Thanks Nuelle, Pipo, Adrian, and Naomi for an awesome get together! :) Til the next meetup!

The Converse Block Party at SM Mall of Asia

Last May 28, Saturday, I was invited to join the Converse Block Party at the SM Mall of Asia. I'm glad that I was able to go despite the rains and the commuting! It was almost 3 PM at that time and the Converse Block Party was well on its way of its informal program.

Converse brought an entire community together for an entire day of street games, basketball-skateboard-and-dance exhibitions, musical performances and fun prizes for the participants of the Block Party. It was a free admission event and people were invited to sign up and join in all of the activities!

Huge Converse Shoe Replicas on display at the entrance.
I couldn't resist having a photo with me wearing my own
RED CONVERSE SNEAKERS!
When I arrived with Jen, the 3 on 3 collegiate basketball games were already ongoing! A lot of people were watching and cheering on their favorite team. Also on the other end of the Music Hall at SM Mall of Asia, they had set up some ramps and platforms for avid skateboarders to strut their stuff and show off their skills. Enthusiasts were invited to join and play!

Converse understands the Filipinos love for the basketball game.  So besides the basketball school teams that were pitted against each other, Converse had an basketball exhibition show and also invited celebrity basketball players.

And with that, Converse has released their basketball gear line! Looks really cool!
The Converse Block Party also made sure that the day would not be boring by hosting electrifying performances by Beatbox Philippines, Callalily and Gloc 9 with Pointblanc. (Unfortunately I wasn't able to see the concert by Callalily and Gloc 9 because I went home early). The Philippine All-Stars and Krumpinoy got everyone moving to the beat of their amazing street-dance moves. They invited onlookers to participate and several won amazing prizes by Converse! Wow lucky!

Top Photo: Beatbox Philippines gave a super impressive performance that left us all amazed!

Besides these awesome activities that encourages people to join, the Converse Block Party also set up a free photo booth and a graffiti wall where everyone was invited to have a go at it. I wasn't really thrilled with the smell though so I didn't try it out. Also, visual artists created some cool art on the walls and floor by doing some really cool graffiti and chalk art.

A free face painting booth was also set up during the latter part of the afternoon. I wanted to get one but I had it drawn on my left arm instead. LOVE IT! :)

My bff JEN and Yours Truly!
And of course, what is Converse without their awesome trademark shoes! Had fun checking em out! Here are some of my favorites.

I really want the one that I'm holding! Purple and Gray!
Converse will also be releasing a new line called HERO INSPIRATION. Converse with the cooperation of DC Comics has released a new line of shoes based on their famous superhero comics. Converse and DC Comics aims to inspire a legion of kids both young and old who are in need of hero inspiration!

Converse has also released a new line of Marimekko shoes for women which I personally am falling in love with it! The Converse X Marimekko pair of chucks speaks of women who are bold and adventurous! It wasn't displayed at the Converse Block Party but I saw it before on Aryanna Epperson's blog. I borrowed a pic from there. Actually, the pic is her blog itself! She's THE daughter of  well-known blogger Jenni Epperson and Tom Epperson. I love her comic style of blogging, and the Marimekko Converse shoes definitely compliments her personality!

With the school year beginning next week for most schools, Converse also provides a cool alternative to your typical school bag gear! I personally like the messenger bags.

And of course their sporty and street style clothing is always appealing! Especially on days where you just want to chill, relax, and enjoy your day with your family like during a Converse Block Party! :)

Of course besides enjoying my day with Jen, I also had a chance to meet up with Ava! :) I really like her scarf. Athan was there as well, looking cute as always! Also many thanks to Jam for inviting us to the Converse event. I really enjoyed it and had a blast!

With Ava and Athan! :)
Me, Jam, and Jen
THANK YOU CONVERSE! Til the next Converse Block Party! :)
