Just recently I was given the privilege to attend a product launch of the new fragrances of United Colors of Benetton - Benetton Nero & Cold Silver for Men and Benetton Bianco & Hot Gold for Women. I don't know about you but when I was in high school, Benetton's HOT fragrances (the one in red packaging) was one of my perfumes when I was in High School. Whenever I take a sniff of its fragrance, it always brings me back to my highschool days. And now Benetton has just released a brand new batch of fragrances that will cater this generation that I'm sure will make a fragrant impressionable memory again like what we've experienced before.

BENETTON BIANCO.  Woman: sparkling and feminine

Just as white blends all the colors in the spectrum into pure perfection, so Benetton Bianco Woman fuses fruity and floral fragrance essences into a seductively sparkling composition. In the top note, luscious lychee pulp is complemented by bamboo sap and white mulberry, evolving into a feminine heart of white rose, grape flower and dewy jasmine. The dry-down is soft and sweet, infused with notes of cocooning cotton musk, vanilla and white patchouli.

Personally, I love the smell. It is light and not too strong. It has this haunting fragrance that just one whiff of it makes you search for more. And most importantly - I DID NOT GET AN ASTHMA ATTACK from this fragrance! Whew! Finally, a perfume that isn't sensory overpowering. I LOVE!

BENETTON NERO. Man: vibrant and virile

Cool and clean, fresh and forthright, Benetton Nero Man is a citrus woody scent that debuts with sparkling notes of blood tangerine, peppermint and grapefruit zest. The coolness lingers through a spicy heart of mace, juniper berries and lemon tree wood, lending depth to the fragrance, then evolves towards a darkly vibrant dry-down of Indonesian patchouli, ebony wood and black musks.

And yes again, the fragrance wasn't asthma inducing. Its one of the rare perfume for men that I like and can tolerate. Strong scented perfumes can trigger asthma. So for me, a good perfume is one that smells good and not overpowering. Its good enough that I wouldn't even mind sporting that scent myself! LOL.

I really loved the idea BLACK AND WHITE. Its just so cool and I'm pretty much sure that a lot of the "new" gen would love it too. (ha.. all this talk of the new gen makes me feel old. :P ) But nothing beats the iconic design of Benetton Fragrance that we all have grown to know and love. Who couldn't forget the daring design of Benetton's legendary Hot and Cold fragrances, launched in 1997 and still cult objects today. The avant-garde bottles with their witty tap-shaped caps broke new ground in fragrance, symbolizing a flow of energy, a rush of sensations which, like water, can be turned on and off. COLD SILVER for Men.

Sleek and sophisticated, silver is associated with design, technology and ultra-modernity. Cold Silver for men translates this cool, clean elegance into a virile fougere fragrance that immediately asserts its presence with dynamic top notes of yuzu, coriander and ginger. In the heart, aromatic silver sage is spiced with a pinch of cardamom seeds. The woody dry-down blends silver moss, mineral amber and vibrant musks, creating a strong, unmistakably masculine signature

HOT GOLD for Women.

Its Latin name aurum – meaning shining dawn – gives a hint of the multiple evocations of gold. Gold is light and love, hope and happiness. Hot Gold for women captures these associations in a light and elegant fruity floral fragrance which opens with a bright bergamot note, rounded out by touches of golden apple and yellow peach. The delicate heart blends star fruit and radiant rose with soft hints of mimosa, developing into a sensual dry-down of sandalwood, solar musks and golden amber.

These two fragrances are a bit stronger than Nero and Bianca nevertheless they still were bearable for my senses and I liked it as well. Personally I liked the Cold Silver better. Perhaps the attractive packaging indeed urges you to pick it up and spritz some on yourself.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the event which was held at Johnny Rockets at Tomas Morato Ave. Many thanks to Miss Emily for the invite! For the event, we all wore Black & White themed outfits with Silver and/or  Gold Accessories. The best dressed for the evening won a prize. There was also a contest where Jen won! Yay! And we also got to bring home a sample of Benetton's fragrances. Thanks BENETTON. I'm glad to be able to make new memories with Benetton's fragrances again. :)
