Back to School Tips - Affordable School Supplies at SM Stationery Section

Back to School Tips
Get Affordable School Supplies at
SM Department Store Stationery Section

June is just around the corner and I know most of you will be probably flocking to the local school supply or book store. As a teacher, I already started to buy the things I need for my classroom and one of my favorite places to buy my school supplies stuff is at SM Department Store Stationery Section. Throughout the years of teaching and looking for the right stores that could give me the best deals in school supplies and stationery items for my classroom, I have discovered that the Stationery Section of the SM is one of the best sources of the stuff I need. Quality items with affordable prices! This Stationery Section of SM Marikina was really helpful for me to find my stuff.

This year, they promoted this section using a checklist which I think is pretty much awesome! Its really useful especially for those who didn't plan ahead on what to buy. At least with this list, people can tick off what they already have chosen to buy and also be reminded on what they could possibly need.

Their Cartolina Paper Selection is my favorite! If you are the typcial teacher here in the Philippines, you must definitely be very familiar with the cartolina paper and its importance! Anyway, I use the cartolina mainly for decorations for the bulletin board or for the walls. They usually have colors which is not typically available in other school supplies   stores or book stores. This is where I find my awesome neon colors or pastel colors.

Cartolina Rack!

Bond Paper Choices

Another thing that I love about the stuff here in the SM Department store Stationery Section is their selection of notebooks. I love notebooks! I can't get enough of them. I adore their colorful notebooks because it looks expensive but its actually cheap!

Cute Notebooks!
They even have some stuff for sale! Love it!

Its not on sale BUT it just looks soooo cool that I had to show it off!
Glee items are photo albums and paper bags
Cute notebooks for kids!
What every desk needs - note or memo pads!

Blue Tack - what every teacher needs! I use this to stick my posters on the wall.

One of my favorite "finds" is this cute little "post it" like of paper! AND its in a coffee theme! I immediately grabbed one. :)

Again its the time to get the best deals as possible and below is a promo where you can save a lot!

If you accumulate a single receipt of Php 1,500 you can get a free planner! And here it is!

So there you have it! Another back to school tip on how to save money by buying affordable school supplies at SM department store stationery section. Hopefully, with this you won't be panic buying anymore! Hope it helped.

Nail It Greenhills Grand Opening

After a long week of work and blogging, the best way to end it would be to spend some "pamper me" time! And what better way then visiting the brand new NAIL IT store at Greenhills!

My cuzin Jen got an invite from Jariss to the grand opening of the Nail It! salon at Greenhill, on May 21, Saturday. And since she could bring friends along--guess who tagged along with her? Moi of course! And Rache, Laura (my sister), and Jordy (Jen's sis). Laura was so kind as to be my photographer for this event. So I think most if not all photos were taken by her. Thanks sis!

Love the pretty colors! This was when me and Jen were signing in the waitlist.

So we signed and listed our names because they couldn't quite accommodate us yet because there were a lot of people! While waiting outside, we gathered for the blessing and ribbon cutting ceremony of this 9th branch of Nail it which started only around last year. I was surprised that they have a lot of branches in such a short period of time! Anyway, the ceremony was sweet because each of us were given a purple candle and had it all lit up during the whole time.

After the blessing, it was chow time! They had a buffet open for all their customers! Since it wasn't time for our nails to be done yet, we took our time in eating. Yummy food!

They also set up a really cool photobooth and you can take as many pictures as you want with your friends as a souvenir for this occasion! Of course we just HAD to take photos!

Bloggers with Friends - Jen, Me, Jordy, Laura, and Tatie! Having fun at the photobooth!

Finally, we entered the salon coz it was nearly our turn. I really loved the color scheme of the place (its purple and white! I love the color purple!) plus it had a really cozy and inviting atmosphere. I couldn't wait to be seated! Looking around, I noticed little things around me that made me pretty impressed. They had a lot of sterilizing machines for their equipment which reassured me a lot! The ambiance, the comfy chairs, and even the lighting were all set up to make you feel comfortable and relaxed for the ultimate nail spa experience.

Love the colors and the comfy chair!
My sis Laura. Behind her is the sterilizing equipment.

I had a talk later on with Ms. Jean Uvero and she assured me that only Orly Nail Polish will be used in Nail It stores! For my pedi, I chose Orly's Halleys Comet (the one on the lower right of the photo). I wanted to try a different color from my usual black or violet!

Nail It only uses ORLY! :) Love it!

AND what a service! I had a pedi and my toes really felt pampered! From the moment they washed my feet, to the cleaning, massaging, and right up to the polishing -- I felt no pain whatsoever. I  have been to nail salons where I leave with a botched up cleaning (bloody nails.. ugh..) or a not so good service in the salon. But here, I was so surprised when I found out that it was already finished! I didn't notice any pain and the nail technician  throughout the whole process always asks me if it was ok or if I wanted it to have the filing or cutting of the nail improved etc. They were really considerate and sensitive of my nails. Really happy about the service!

Many thanks to my Nail Technician, Malou! She has feather light hands! :) Thats Orly's Halleys Comet Nail Polish.
And there we have it, awesome pedicures done by Nail It using Orly Nail Polish! Love it!

Top L-R: Laura used Cocoa Beach, Rache used Soul Mate
Bottom L-R, Jordy used Snow Cone, and Me used Halleys Comet

I really enjoyed my stay at the Nail It Salon at Greenhills! Before we left, we had a short chat with Ms. Jean and she told us how Nail It was concept collaboration between her and her daughter, Agatha. Agatha was only 12 years old at that time and I couldn't help being impressed that such a young person having an entrepreneur mind already! Ms. Jean shared that it was her desire that Nail It would be distinguished as a Nail Salon that gives quality service to their customers by making them feel pampered and have an enjoyable experience.

Me, Rache, and Miss Jean.

With that in mind, Nail It also extends and welcomes their male customers! Nail It has noticed that a lot of the ladies that are there customers have their men waiting outside..somewhere killing time until they are done. Now its possible for the men to have their "pampering" time as well with the newly coined Nail It term "MANLICURE". Guys that have manicured and pedicured clear polished nails are considered acceptable and even desirable by the women! And now through these services, Nail It is now catering to the male quarter as well.

The amazing part of all of this is the prices! The most basic service in Nail It is as low as Php 100 for a Traditional Manicure (no polish) to Php 300-400 for a detailing mani. They also offer other services such as  Nail Art, Stress Relief Massage, and Eyelash extensions. They also have promos available for combined services at a cheaper price.

I'm looking forward to another Nail It experience!

OTD: Miss Essentials top, Thrifted Denim Skirt, Tomato Bag, and Parisian Shoes.

Many thanks to Jariss for the cute giveaway bag that has a Nail It Privilege Card, Discount card from Jariss' blog sponsors, and Limelite Mani Mini Nail Polish. THANKS SO MUCH! :)

Tomato Launches New Delicious Fragrance Line

I was able to attend a Delicious event last Friday, May 20, at Trinoma Mall Ground Floor. TOMATO has just renovated their store there and with the new ambiance decided to launch its new Tomato Delicious Fragrance Line. A lot of people were there and were pretty much excited! I personally didn't know what to do first--take photos, shop, or talk with other fellow bloggers! Of course, shooting photos won out coz as the saying goes -- A picture is worth more than a thousand words.  So here are my 25,000 plus words in pictures! You have been warned!

First things first, the star of the night -- Tomato's New Fragrance Line.  There are actually two fragrance that they released that day. The first one is the daytime fragrance named OOHLALICIOUS!

Tomato Delicious Oohlalicious Fragrance is here to help each girl feel delicious and BE DELICIOUS! Oohlalicious has a subtle yummy citrus tone which I like very much! Being asthmatic, I tend to be very much aware of the the fragrances I use or that is around me and I'm happy to report that Ooohlalicious is indeed subtle enough and not over powering. Its actually my favorite out of the two.

I love its packaging! Its classy looking and so cute! Oohlalicious is in a clear 50 ml bottle with its simple design and the cute silver heart charms that is also yours to keep! It only costs Php 300.00 which is a very affordable price compared to others AND its classy enough to be an "expensive" looking gift you can give to your boss or to your mom or as a Christmas gift to someone this year!!!

Meanwhile, VAVALICIOUS is a night time fragrance which aims to help women express their "innate elegance and class." It is modern, chic, and spicy! The woodsy and spicy aroma wasn't overpowering--its the one thing that I check when choosing a fragrance to wear. Vavalicious' spicy aroma has my thumbs up!

Vavalicious has a more "sexy" packaging so to speak.  The dark red and black makes it look classy and elegant. The heart-shaped bottle gives off a  romantic feel to it especially with the gold heart shaped charms attached to it! The charms can also double as a cute cellphone accessory! And yes, you can definitely gift this to someone who is ready to unleash the Vavalicious inside of them!

Oohlalicious Girl - That's me! :)

After some picture taking, we were all asked to go out of the store to witness the ribbon cutting session to commemorate this momentous occasion!

There were a lot of people watching and wondering what was happening in the store. It was jampacked! Of course, Team Azkals Anton Del Rosario and Yannick Tuason drew in the crowd and a lot of onlookers. Ms. Earth Air 2009 Sandra Seifert was also in attendance and kept everyone's cameras clicking away!

OF COURSE I had to have a photo with them!

Also, I just wanna thank JEN and JAM who were the people mainly responsible for the invite I got to the Tomato Event. Thanks much dears!

Bff shopgirljen! Hehe.. wala kasi pwede mag pic sa amin 2 lang..
Besides its fragrance, TOMATO has a lot of other stuff to offer that is chic and affordable for every Tomato Delicious girl out there! Their clothes, bags, shoes and flats, and accessories are all super pretty, eye-catching and easy on the pocket.

Tomato's accessories are just super awesome! I love the fact that Tomato is trying to reach consumers at a reasonable price. As far as I can remember, the rings and earrings were around Php 150. Flats were from Php 400 to Php 500.  Watches and Bags were from 500 to 750 php.

I love the bag! I got a black version of this bag/

Of course we also had a fun time meeting new bloggers!
